Well the election is over, and although I am not totally pleased by the results (although what I wanted wasn't really even possible), I am very happy to be spared from the constant inundation of political ads.
Not much changed in my area of the country, and we weren't really that surprised. Although both A and I agonized over who to vote for we suspected the President would be reelected. In some ways I am more hopeful because I was not a fan of Romney. I really only thought he was a teeny, tiny bit better, and I questioned that at times.
I am encouraged because I hope that in four years time we will be ready for a change, and that that change will be offered in a much better candidate than Romney. In a perfect world an awesome third party candidate would emerge that would break up this horrible deadlock! That's my take on the election.
November
PS. I have figured out how to balance the budget. Federally legalize pot, and tax the h*ll out of it ;)
